OK CLASSICS

Auction terms.

What you agree to when you register, bid or buy at an OK Classics sale, in person or online.

By registering to bid, placing a bid, or buying a lot at any OK Classics auction, in person or online, you agree to these terms. OK Classics, Oklahoma Dealer #UD6242.

1. Registration

All bidders must register before bidding. Online bidders register through our bidding site, or through a third-party online marketplace where the sale is also listed, under that marketplace's registration rules; in-person bidders register at the venue on sale day with a valid government-issued photo ID. Bidders must be 18 or older. OK Classics may refuse or revoke any registration at its discretion.

No deposit is required to bid. Bidding approval is granted by validating a credit card in the bidder's own name. The card is verified, and may be authorized for a small amount that is then released, but it is not charged at registration.

By registering, the bidder authorizes OK Classics to keep that card on file and to charge it as set out in section 8 if the bidder wins a lot and does not complete the purchase. The bidder must keep a valid card on file until every lot they win has been paid for and collected.

2. Buyer's premium, fees and sales tax

A buyer's premium is added to the hammer price of every lot:

  • In-person purchases: 10%
  • Online purchases on our bidding site, okclassicsonlinebids.com: 11.5%
  • Purchases made through a third-party online marketplace where the sale is also listed: the buyer's premium and terms shown on that marketplace's listing apply.

A $85.00 processing and title fee is charged to the buyer on each vehicle.

Oklahoma sales tax is collected on memorabilia purchases. No sales tax is collected on vehicles.

3. Payment

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, cashier's check, personal check, money order, PayPal, wire transfer and cash.

Payment in full is due by the end of the sale day for in-person buyers and within 48 hours of the sale for online buyers. Titles are released only after payment clears. No lot leaves and no title is released until a personal check has cleared. Call 405-481-9411 for further payment instructions.

4. Condition of lots: sold as-is

All sales are final. Every lot is sold as-is, where-is, with no warranties, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

OK Classics does not inspect or verify mileage. Odometer readings are as reported by the consignor.

Descriptions, photographs and VINs are provided by the consignor and are offered as a guide only. They are not a guarantee of condition, originality, year, mileage, matching numbers or authenticity. Bidders are responsible for inspecting lots before bidding. Any statement made by the auctioneer or staff on sale day is an opinion, not a warranty.

Preview times and location are announced with each sale and listed on that sale's page.

5. Reserves and bidding

Some lots are offered with a reserve. Lots marked "No Reserve" sell to the highest bidder regardless of price. The auctioneer may reject any bid, set bidding increments, and reopen bidding in the event of a dispute. The auctioneer's decision on the winning bidder is final.

OK Classics may bid on behalf of absentee bidders and, on lots with a reserve, may bid on the seller's behalf up to the reserve price, as permitted by Oklahoma law (UCC 2-328).

6. Titles

Titles for vehicle lots are transferred to the buyer after payment has cleared. Titles are notarized on site and handed over at pickup, or mailed to the buyer's address on file if the vehicle ships. OK Classics does not guarantee that any vehicle can be titled or registered in the buyer's state. Some lots (parts, project vehicles or older vehicles) may be sold on a bill of sale only; where that is the case it will be stated in the description.

7. Pickup, shipping and storage

All purchases must be picked up within 10 days of the sale. Pickup is from OK Classics, 3200 N Harrison St, Shawnee, OK 74804. Call 405-481-9411 to arrange a pickup time.

Buyers are responsible for transport. We are happy to help arrange shipping. Call us before bidding if you have questions about it.

Lots not picked up within 10 days of the sale are subject to a storage fee of $25 per day per vehicle. Lots not picked up within 30 days of the sale are considered abandoned and may be resold with no refund to the buyer.

8. Non-payment and unfulfilled winning bids

A winning bid is a binding agreement to buy the lot. Bid only on lots you intend to pay for.

If a winning bidder fails to pay within the time above, or otherwise does not complete the purchase, OK Classics may charge the credit card on file $1,000 per lot, together with the buyer's premium that would have been due on that lot. By registering to bid, the bidder authorizes those charges. They are agreed in advance as a reasonable estimate of the cost of a failed sale, which is difficult to calculate exactly, and are not a penalty.

OK Classics may also cancel the sale, resell the lot, and hold the buyer liable for any shortfall plus expenses, less any amount already recovered under the paragraph above. The buyer's registration may be revoked and the buyer barred from future OK Classics sales.

9. Live stream

Sales may be streamed on social media. The stream is for viewing only; bidding takes place in person or on the bidding platform.

10. Liability

OK Classics acts as agent for the consignor. OK Classics is not liable for any loss, damage or injury arising from a lot, its condition, its description or its removal from the venue, and its liability in any case is limited to the amount of the buyer's premium paid on that lot. Buyers are responsible for their own safety and for any damage they cause at the venue.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oklahoma. Any dispute will be heard in the courts of Pottawatomie County, Oklahoma.

12. Changes to these terms

Terms specific to a sale (dates, preview, venue) are announced with that sale and take precedence over this page. OK Classics may update these terms at any time; the version posted at the time of the sale applies.
